Intro Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Teacher Intro The invention of the microscope made it possible for people to discover and learn about cells. All living things are composed of cells which are the basic units and structures and functions in all living things. You will be discovering the wonderful world of cells.
Intro Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Teacher Task You will make a set of trading cards. Each card will showcase a specific organelle of the cell.
Intro Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Teacher Process Visit the following websites: 1. Write down three microscope pictures that you looked at, record in your notebook. http://nobelprize.org/educational/physics/microscopes/index.html 2. Draw an animal cell and label in your notebook 3. Draw a plant cell and label in your notebook http://www.cellsalive.com/cells/cell_model.htm http://www.wisc-online.com/objects/ViewObject.aspx?ID=AP11403 4.Find out information about the following organelles. Fill out the research sheet while you visit the different sights: http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/begin/cells/insideacell/ 1.Cell membrane 2.Nucleus 3.Chromatin 4.Nucleolus 5.Nuclear envelope 6.Cytoplasm 7.Mitochondria 8.Endoplasmic reticulum 9.Ribosomes 10.Golgi Bodies 11.Vacuoles 12.Lysosomes 13.Chloroplasts 14.Cell Wall 5. Pick 10 organelles to make trading cards. Draw a picture of the organelle on the front of the card, on the back put information about the organelle. Be creative: look at sports cards and see how they arrange the information.trading cards
