Sood, and his team from IISc, Bangalore. 2.It is using recombinant DNA technology and immunological technique for rapid diagnosis of typhoid infection. 3.The test detects S. typhi antigen directly in patient’s serum within 1-3 minutes which is very important for initiating early treatment and saving human life.
