Engaging Staff Whether in administration, extension, research, teaching or many other areas of our academic and programmatic lives, the staff is critical to the university's foundation. Are we doing what is needed to become the employer we aspire to be? Do our administrative procedures result in fair treatment of all employees, including recognition and rewards, professional development and work/life balance? Do we respond appropriately to the needs of dual-career couples? Does our campus climate support employee diversity? Are our employees' voices clearly heard in the dialogue creating the future of Cornell? David Skorton, Inaugural Address, Sept 7, 2006
