2 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” TERMINAL OBJECTIVES Purpose of this training session is to give Recruiters the information needed to ensure that NRS Station Visits are conducted properly and effectively. This will give Recruiters an insight to ensuring that they are doing all of the required items on a consistent basis in order to ensure that the NRS is on track to attain all assigned activity and NCO each month. 3 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” ENABLING OBJECTIVES Upon completion of this training recruiters will have the knowledge of the following: –Station Visit Preparation –Training Jacket Documentation –RTOOLS Documentation –Future Sailor Requirements –RPMS Documentation –LEADS Requirements –Territory Breakdown –SOAR Binder / School Folder Documentation –Station, Government Vehicles and Recruiter Appearance UNCLAS (FOUO)

4 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” STATION VISIT PREPERATION In order for the Station Visit to be effective there has to be an enviornment that is conducive to effective training: –LPO/LCPO must ensure that the time for the visit is set aside so that no distractions get in the way. The Asst. LPO/LCPO will handle all NRS issues during this time –This allows for the DLCPO to effectively review and train to any issues that are found during the visit –The LPO/LCPO must also have blank training syllabus in order to take good notes as to the training that is being given during the visit –The DLCPO must also have the assistant DLCPO handle Divisional issues during the visit as well. 5 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” TRAINING JACKETS The DLCPO will review all Training Jackets in the NRS to include the following: –Required Instructions –Command INDOC and Basic PQS (Basic PQS must be completed within 45 days of check in) –RDB board conducted within 90 days of check in (Tab D & E) –OJT syllabus are generated to the strengths and weaknesses identified by the LPO/LCPO –F/U training is conducted on all OJT and it is documented on the LPO/LCPO and Recruiters Planners –All PQS is on track and making progress for Recruiters –Monthly VALOR Sales Labs are completed (LPO/LCPO do the Recruiters and the DLCPO/DIVO must do the LPO/LCPO UNCLAS (FOUO)

6 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” TRAINING JACKETS DLCPO must ensure that any discrepancies identified are notated on the monthly spot check and LPO initials when the items are corrected. DIVO must ensure that a quarterly review of Training Jackets is completed on the Quarterly Spot Check UNCLAS (FOUO)

7 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” OJT OJT must be documented as to show what the exact strength/weakness that was identified. There must also be a clear corrective action to address any weakness. This can not be one line entries. This is not effective training to the Recruiter. The follow up must also be detailed as to how the LPO/LCPO ensured the weakness was corrected and if the training was effective. The follow up must be on the planner as well for the Recruiter and the LPO/LCPO UNCLAS (FOUO)

8 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” RTOOLS DLCPO will conduct a review of all the following items: –Working Ticklers Loaded: These are to be loaded IAW the NRD Goaling Letter sent out each month. Working ticklers are to be loaded by the LPO/LCPO the last workday of the week prior to the next week. Effective Working Ticklers are a key to the Recruiter prospecting in the HOT Zip Codes based off their territory breakdown and ASAD. –There should be no record in the working tickler with a date over 5 days. –RTOOLS system must have minimal Marked for DPR records. This shows the LPO/LCPO is tracking the recruiters prospecting within RTOOLS. UNCLAS (FOUO)

9 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” RTOOLS DLCPO will also ensure that the LPO is conducting executive screenings on all qualified interviews on the NRS App Log. These must be notated on both the App Log and also in the RTOOLS system. Future Sailor contacts will also be checked in RTOOLS as well. There must be at a minimum of 3 Phone contacts and 2 Face to Face (DEP Meeting and Mentoring) All new Future Sailors will be checked for entries for enlisting, 72 HR INDOC, and Initial Mentoring contacts UNCLAS (FOUO)

10 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” FUTURE SAILOR DOCUMENTATION Including the RTOOLS documentation the DLCPO will also check the following for Future Sailors –DEP Residuals: The 72 HR required items are signed and within the prescribed timeframes to include 72 HR Form Drug Modules Hold Harmless Agreement START Guide Fraternization PG13 SAPR PG 13 –There must be at a minimum of 2 DEP RECERTS each month for the DEP Meeting and the Mentoring Contacts These should be checked for accuracy especially yes answers or HT/WT. Any issues must have an INFO DAR in the record as well UNCLAS (FOUO)

11 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” FUTURE SAILOR DOCUMENTATION DLCPO will also check the last 6 months of App Logs for referalls. These must have a completed 5305 as well. Completed 5305’s include –5305 filled out completely –App Log for the Future Sailor and Referal –RTOOLS records for the Future Sailor and the Referal DLCPO must also check the DEP Status Board against the Count records screen to ensure that all Future Sailors are on the board. There must also be the same number of residuals as the count records screen. UNCLAS (FOUO)

12 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” RPMS PATE: DLCPO will verify that the current month PATE numbers match the applicant logs and the planners for the current month. Any errors should be trained to and corrected. Planner: DLCPO will verify that the LPO/LCPO has approved planners that have enough prospecting activity on them in order to attain required daily activity. This should include tangible goals for each day. –Adjustments should also be made to the planner to make up for shortfalls and clearly documented on the planners. This includes activity daily is tracked and notated. UNCLAS (FOUO)

13 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” RPMS Applicant logs should be checked for accuracy. This includes ensuring all APPT and INT are on the app logs and the source codes are correct (RT, HS, AS and PN are not source codes and should be corrected at the visit) UNCLAS (FOUO)

14 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” LEADS LEADS are to be verified as well by looking at the following: –LEADS are attempted within 24 hours by the LPO/LCPO. There must also be consistent prospecting for each LEAD –No overdue LEADS (LEADS go overdue after 30 days with no DISPO) –LEADS must be maintained in the Working Tickler for 4 months or until final dispotition. LPO/LCPO has the final say in this. –Any LEADS that are not workable or disqualified must be sent to the LEADS shop for supression. UNCLAS (FOUO)

15 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” TERRITORY BREAKDOWN DLCPO will ensure that the Territory is broken down so that each recruiter has the fair share of the market. –In order for the territory to be a fair share, the DLCPO will ensure that the Recrutiers have a fair share based on DOD 3 year average. This is how you will know that each recruiter has a equal shot to write contracts. The DOD should be within 10 NCO +/- for each Recrutier. UNCLAS (FOUO)

16 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” SOAR BINDER / SCHOOL FOLDER DLCPO will verify that the SOAR Binders and School Folders are accurate to include: –SOAR Binders for each SOAR in the NRS. This will depend on each school and the area they encompass. –School Folders are filled out and complete (staff, teachers, student president, etc.) and each month shows what was accomplished in the schools. The LPO/LCPO and DLCPO must initial each month that has been completed. The directions to the school and the map to the school must be in the folder as well. –All trackers (COI, RADS, POSTERS) must be filled out and increasing each month to show the recruiter is working his SOAR to generate Navy Awareness and also produce COI’s. 17 NRD New Orleans “Powerhouse New Orleans” APPEARANCE DLCPO will also finally check to see that the appearance of the NRS, Gov Vehicles and Recrutiers are to standards. –NRS must be clean and Janitorial checklists are reviewed to ensure that cleaning is completed weekly. Check the lights, windows, carpet and walls. All items must be hung in frames and also presentable. First appearance is everything. –Government Vehicles must be clean and present a professional appearance. Vehicle Logs must be completed daily. –Recruiters uniforms appearance must be within standards and clean and presentable. UNCLAS (FOUO)
