Difficulties to estimate employment related to tourism: -Administrative source can’t directly calculate employment related to tourist. - The impact of tourism is highly variable for one activity to another. -The i mpact of tourism for the same activity is variable, depending on the location. 4
Municipalities are divided into three levels of tourist equipment: - Poorly equipped - Moderately equipped - Well equipped This classification is based on 6 indicators: - Salaried employees in restaurant - Capacity in restaurant - Hotel capacity - Camping capacity - Density of second homes - Presence of a tourist site The tourist equipment of basin life where the town is located is also involved in the classification. 6
There are 5 types of activities - 100% tourist : hotels... - Heavily tourist : restaurant... - Moderately tourist : hypermarket... - Low tourist : road transport... - No tourist : industry...
