Digital Library A Quiet Place To Study Computers with Internet Access 100,000 Books Electronic Journals Newspapers & Magazines Photocopy Machines ($extra cost$) Location: By the parking structure
Math Learning Center 1-3 tutors and one instructor on duty to answer questions help explain something you didn’t understand during the class lecture assist you with homework questions can answer questions that you have while studying for exams provide a place for you to study and do homework alone or in groups Math Web-enhanced classes allow you to use services for FREE! (registration in Math 96/97 required for all other math classes) Location: Martin Luther King Building- 3 rd Floor
Writing & Reading Center 2-3 English instructors on duty who are available to all students to answer any specific writing or reading-related questions (Available 5-15 mins per student). 2-5 peer tutors specially trained to assist students with their writing and reading questions and concerns (Available for two, 30 mins appointments per week). 2 reading assistants who work individually with students enrolled in reading classes (by appointment only). 60-minute workshops on a plethora of writing and reading- related topics, covering elements in: Grammar, Mechanics, Usage, Style, Writing, Reading, and Research. No appointment necessary for the workshops. The workshop schedule is published monthly in the lab. SI Sessions (if available to you) SI Leaders have already passed the class you are taking… so they are a knowledgeable resource. Study Groups that help you learn the course material and ultimately become better a student. SI session are a fun learning environment, where you can eat, talk and find solutions to the problems you are having in class Can meet friends in SI that are going to help rather than “hurt” you in college.
