5. God of all nations, You call us to be people of justice and faith. Hear the prayers that we put before you today as we continue to learn of the effects of the recent floods in Pakistan.

7. We pray for and remember the 1,600 people in Pakistan who have lost their lives in the recent floods and for their families and friends who continue to mourn their loss. Lord hear us.

9. We pray for the 14 million people whose homes, bridges, schools, water facilities and farmland have been destroyed by the floods. May they receive the practical support and assistance to rebuild their lives, families and communities. Lord hear us.
