14 The team – Project manager Christoph. An expert of knowledge management and chairman of Tripleye Switzerland, he serves knowledge based institutions such as universities and high tech companies in the development of a global vision and a competitive portfolio. Currently he also serves as a lecturer at the University of Zurich and as a vice-chairman at the Ticino’s Chapter of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce. He has been Consul General of Switzerland and Director of the first Swiss science consulate called “Share”, then “Swissnex”, in Boston since 2002. Before, he was head of International Affairs in the office of the Swiss State Secretary for Education and Research, Berne. He was guest lecturer at various universities in Boston: Harvard, MIT, etc. Previously, he was program manager at the Swiss Science and Technology Council, research fellow at Michigan State University, visiting fellow at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and University in Blacksburg, research assistant at the University of Berne, member of the American Technology Transfer Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Virginia Bioinformatic Institute Pollicy Advisory Board, the Swiss Club of Science Journalists. He graduated in biology from the University of Berne, where he took also a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology. He is author of a many scientific publications, articles in newspapers, magazines and books.

She is expert on learning methodologies and cross-cultural intelligence. Founding and managing partner of LKN. Based in Berne (Switzerland), Paris (France) and Turin (Italy), her activities focus on the cultural and relational dimensions that characterise the working life. She works on making tangible and undersandable the «intangibles», with an eclectic approach that is strongly aimed at obtaining results. She has gained experience with a very diverse kind of clientele: from the large multi-national to the small or medium family- run company, from the main hospitals to the small medical teams, and from international development organisations to local, regional and national governments. Barbara serves also as a professor (Psychology and Team Working) at the Master on Communication of Science and Technology (Macsis), university Bicocca of Milan (Italy) and was professor at the Dept. of Psychology of the university of Turin (Italy). Fernando. Knowledge entrepreneur, epistemologist expert on learning methodologies, anthropologist expert on cultural intelligence. He is the founder and managing partner of LKN (Switzerland): a very innovative and high-tech company, set up in 1996, with a networked think-tank comprised of 3,000 chartered experts based in 60 countries. 16 The team – Knowledge visualization specialist Paolo. He is a multimedia and visual designer based in Pesaro-Urbino, Italy. From photography, through the application of the first digital processing methods, he went on to computer art and then to his first multivision shows, culminating in the realization of large multimedia installations in which music, images and architecture come together in a single language used to create virtual environments. His "multi-projections" have been presented at numerous manifestations in many different countries, including the "Mediale" in Nürnberg (Germany), Linz (Austria), Milan and Rome (Italy), Budapest (Hungary), Istanbul (Turkey), Bruxelles (Belgium), London (UK), Paris (France), Seoul (Korea), Singapore, Beijing (China). In 1995, at the International Festival of Multimedia Arts in Budapest, he was awarded with the main prize. In the last years he has been working several times engaging the arts and the technology at the service of knowledge management, capacity building, healthcare.

17 The team – New media architects Lorenzo. He is a full professor at University of the Italian Switzerland, where he serves as Dean of the Communication Sciences Dept. In the same university he is also: director of the New Media in Education Laboratory, program director of Webatelier.net, deputy director of the Training and Communication Dept., director of the PhD School “Red-Ink”: Rethinking Education in the Knowledge Society, a partnership among the University of the Italian Switzerland, the Lausanne’s Polytechnic School and the University of S. Gallen. Lorenzo is also research professor at the Center for International Health Services Research & Policy, at the Washington State University, and collaborates with the “Politecnico “of Milan. He authored or co-authored several books, such as the Routledge Introductions to Media and Communications. Jeffrey. He is an associate professor of digital media and information technology at the Harvard University and is the director of the Media and Design Laboratory at the Lausanne Polytechnic School (Epfl - École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland), where he is a full professor at the faculty of Computer and communication sciences, and at the faculty of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC). Prior to joining the EPFL in 2006, he was a professor at the Harvard University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) and Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD). He was also a Visiting Fellow at Stanford University's D. School, and Designer-in-Residence at Fuji Xerox Palo Alto Research Lab. He is also a co- founder and principal of Convergeo, an international design firm. A native of Rome, Italy, and a Swiss citizen of Chinese origins, Huang received his DiplArch from ETHZ and his Master's and Doctoral degrees from Harvard, where he was awarded the Gerald McCue Medal. He is expert on interactive artifacts and furniture supporting collaborative work and learning. His research explores the vision of fusing physical and virtual architectures. His current research and teaching projects include the examination of emerging architectural typologies, novel, organic approaches to architectural design (parametric design, algorithmic design), data-driven visualizations, the integration of physical computing (sensors, actuators, RFID, LEDs, mobile devices) into architecture and cities, and more generally design-centered approaches to human-computer interaction (design thinking).
