2 Giant Water Bug

3 Habitat The giant water bug usually live in clear, slow-moving, fresh- water streams or ponds, preferring aquatic vegetation(See map).

4 Description The giant water bug is referred to as one of the biggest insects in both the U.S.A. and Canada. It can grow up to 4 inches long and is commonly mistaken for a cockroach or beetle.

6 Whirligig Beetle

7 Habitat The whirligig beetles live in ponds and streams and are found all over the world.

8 Description The whirligig beetles are small, black beetles that can grow to be 1/8 to 1 3/8 inches long.
