Creating a Chart With PowerPoint and Excel By Tabbi Heavner
Open a new presentation with slides in blank format.
Insert chart of the desired type.
Excel will open.
Resize the chart to accommodate your data; input data.
Now your chart looks like this.
Select and delete the legend.
Select the title and rename your chart as desired.
Formatting the axes.
Adjust these settings as indicated.
Formatting the Plot Area (coloring the chart).
Select the desired color(s) and design.
Your finished chart will be similar to this.
Change Chart Type to see the same data in a new format.
Changing to a horizontal stacked cylinder chart.

Don’t forget to save your PowerPoint Presentation. This preserves the data in the Excel worksheet.
“Edit Data” allows you to change data in the Excel worksheet.
Once data has been changed, save the PowerPoint Presentation under a new name.
You can print your chart just as you would print in Microsoft Word.
The finished product, as printed!
