The Catechism What is it? A book of instruction in the form of questions and answers. Who wrote it? Martin Luther ( ) Why was it written? So that the head of the family could teach his family.

Words to Know Prophet – one who speaks God’s Word to God’s People Evangelist – one who speaks or writes the Good News about Jesus Apostle-One who is sent out as Jesus’ messenger Bible – Book Scriptures – “The Writings” referring to the Bible.
What is The Bible? 1.God the Holy Spirit breathed into (INSPIRED) the writers to write the exact words He wanted. 2.The Bible is therefore word-for-word God’s Word. 3.Everything in The Bible is true since it’s God’s Word. 4.We shouldn’t add or subtract anything from the Bible.
Why did God give us The Bible? 1.To teach us the way of salvation (deliverance) by trusting in Jesus. 2.To guide us in God-pleasing living after we have come to trust in Jesus as our Saviour.
