How to deal with rat-runs -Rat running is recognised as a problem -Lots of possible solutions -Real problem is consensus on a solution

Proposed solution -If we can agree on a problem, we can agree to trialling a solution -Requested support for use of planters & experimental traffic order

How is it received? -In excess of 90% of people asked happy to support -243 signatures gathered -My estimation was circa 25% of households on streets concerned

Where are we now? -Gone through committee stage -Likely to have change on the ground 18 months after petition presented -Given likely positive benefits, very unlikely that people will want them removed

What happens next? -Locally (Wandsworth) we have several other petitions using the same format already running. -If you like this approach, get in touch, I'll share the template and you can improve your streets. -Local group - -My blog: traffikintooting.blogspot.com
