3 The dishes of Christmas We eat foie gras, snails and oysters, Turkey and for dessert some yule log.

5 On Christmas Eve, turkey is eaten. It’s cooked for a few hours with some forcemeat inside. A noël on mange de la dinde On la fait cuire plusieurs heures On met de la farce dans la dinde

6 La bûche de noël the yule log ● The yule log is a souvenir of ancient times when all family were around the fireplace waiting for Christmas. http://www.joyeux-noel.com/

7 Christmas at primary school ● Children receive Santa Claus chocolates, an orange,sweets. Before the chocolates there are many shows and Santa Claus comes to give gifts.

8 Christmas tree is put inside the house before Christmas. It’s decorated with baubles, tinsels. The star is on the top of the Christmas tree. Towns and villages put Christmas trees in the streets to be decorated. Le sapin de noël Le sapin on le met avant noël dans la maison. On le décore avec des boules,des guirlandes,une étoile, on la met sur le sommet du sapin. Les villes et les villages mettent des sapins dans les rues pour décorer.

9 The night when santa claus comes... Santa Claus comes at night and children discover their presents in the morning. The kids leave a glass of milk for Santa Claus and a carrot for the reindeers. 10 The kids leave a stocking or shoe near the Christmas tree and in the morning they are full of sweets and chocolates

11 Happy New Year!Bonne année ! At the first bell of midnight of New Year we give a kiss under the mistletoe It brings happiness for the year.

12 ● Au nouvel an, on va voir des amis, notre famille et on leur souhaite une bonne année et une bonne santé. ● En échange on reçoit de l'argent. Les étrennes For New Year we go to friends’ and family’s and wish them a happy New Year and good health.
