OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAM Developed by researchers at The University of Queensland and the Queensland University of Technology Funded by beyondblue Online program that aims to provide students with strageties and skills for success and wellbeing Program developed due to: High prevalence rates of distress in university students Relatively low levels of professional help seeking in students despite access to free counselling and health services Psychological distress has a significant impact on the capacity of students to study Psychological distress is associated with lower academic performance Students reporting that they are likely to use an online program to help with problems they are experiencing
AIMS OF THE PROGRAM To support Australian tertiary students to achieve mental and physical health and wellbeing. To provide resources online so that more people will be able to get help to improve their wellbeing and be able to study more effectively. To provides students with information and skills to help them be relaxed, energised, and connected during their time at university. It empowers them to manage their own problems as they arise.
