Registration Timeline Meet with 8 th graders in science classes and distribute course selection sheets and THS Course Catalog on February 11 Parent meetings at THS on February 14 (6 pm and 7 pm) Course selection sheets due by Tuesday, February 19 to your math teacher RBC 8 th Graders enter schedules in computer labs during math classes on February 28

Other Important Items Current 8 th graders are REQUIRED to do summer reading for 9 th grade (you will be tested)--lists posted on THS website If you did not get P.E. credit in 8 th grade, you should take P.E. in 9 th grade. All 9 th graders will have study lab (unless you take band or orchestra). Art I must be taken before any other Art courses. Office Suite is highly recommended before taking other business/computer courses.

Athletic Eligibility During the preceding grading period, students must earn 1.25 minimum 9-week GPA. During the preceding grading period, students must be passing a minimum of an equivalent of 5 credits. Summer school grades may not be used to substitute for failing grades from the last grading period of the regular school year. *See THS Course Catalog: page 11

Minimum High School Courses Recommended by ACT for College Admissions English –4 years Math –3 years: Alg. I, Alg. II, Geometry Science –3 years: with lab experience (1 Physical Sci., 1 Life Sci., 1 Advanced Sci.)
