ES v2.0: 3 Compatibility Issues Tuesday 6 th Feb 2007 Chester Zoo 1.Compatibility between ES v2.0 and the original Enterprise v1.1 data model: the v1.1 data model will defer to the new 2.0 data model, and a profile will be defined for mapping 1.1 to the new data model 2.2.0 needs to be backwards compatible so that when it is implemented it can support features from ES v1.0 3.2.0 needs to be forwards compatible so that implementations of v1.0 can support features in the new 2.0 spec, i.e. if a 2.0 system interacts with a 1.0 system
