2. My Big Question…… My big question is which type of coke will dissolve the nail the fastest. This question came up when I was drinking Coca-cola and my mom wondered what Coca-Cola was capable of dissolving.

3. My Hypothesis My Hypothesis is that the regular Coca- Cola will dissolve the nail the fastest. My explanation for my hypothesis is that the regular Coca-Cola has more chemicals then any other soft drink.

4. Interesting Facts Diet Coke has the same ingredients as Coke Zero Coke Zero is actually worse than regular Coca- Cola People use regular Coca-Cola to clean up the blood and glass off of the streets after an accident. The chemicals in Coca-Cola are the same in toilet bowl cleaner. If you used Coca-Cola in your toilet it would have the same effect as any other cleaner.

5. Experiment Materials: 1 liter of Coca-Cola 1 liter of Diet Coke 1 liter of Coke Zero 3(clear) glass cups 3 metal wires cut in to 4 inches 3 non-coated metal nails Step-by-step procedure Tie the wire around each nail individually Poured all of the above mentioned soft drinks into the glass cups Set the wire attached to the nail in the cup Wait….. Write down observations Controlled Variables I had to move around the nail to observe my project

6. Observations The Coca-Cola dissolved the nail the fastest The Coke Zero rusted the nail all around The Diet Coke only rusted a little amount of the nail The Diet Coke also left the nail with a sharp tip

7. Data As you can see the coke started out as nothing and then gained on the other two then finally dissolved the nail.

8. Analysis of Data My hypothesis was correct. The experiment tested my hypothesis. The experiment was not predictable because the Coca-Cola started out as not dissolving anything.

9. Conclusion My conclusion came to be that Coca- Cola was the type of coke that dissolved a nail the fastest.
