 Linear functions – is a function that graphs a line.  Parent function – is the simplest equation of a function.  The linear parent function is y=x or f(x)=x  Linear equations model linear functions. In a linear equation, the variable cannot be raised to a power other than 1.

 Slope-Intercept form is y=mx+b
