Do I have a real relationship with God? Is He really inside my life? Am I really His child? Am I in contact with God? Am I just going through the motions? Have I set some idol up in my heart? Am I harboring some bad attitude or sin? Am I praying this so it will benefit me or am I praying this because it has potential to glorify God?

 We have religious activity but no reality.

John 8:44 – “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”

Mark 8:33 – “But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.”

Psalms 38:4 – “For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.”

bind heavy burdensMatthew 23:4 – “For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.”

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 – “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed”

2 Corinthians 4:15-17 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his nameJeremiah 20:9(a) – “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name…

Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his nameJeremiah 20:9(a) – “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name… But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay.”

Matthew 11:28-30 – “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”Matthew 11:28-30 – “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Psalms 55:22 – “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” 1 Peter 5:7 – “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
