The entire body of salt water that covers more than 70 percent of the earth's surface The continuous body of salt water that covers 72 percent of the Earth's surface. The average salinity of ocean water is approximately three percent. The deepest known area of the ocean, at 11,034 m (36,192 ft.) is the Mariana Trench, located in the western Pacific Ocean. oceans any of the geographical divisions of this body, commonly given as the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic, and Antarctic oceans.
Tundra In tundra’s it can get up to negative -50 degrease!! Tundra’s are like frozen deserts!! Tundra’s take up 1-5 th of the earth! Most of the water in a Tundra is frozen A treeless area between the icecap and the tree line of Arctic regions, having a permanently frozen subsoil and supporting low-growing vegetation such as lichens, mosses, and stunted shrubs Tundra’s one of the vast, nearly level, treeless plains of the arctic regions of Europe, Asia, and North America.
Grasslands Grassland have very few ponds, surprisingly! Deserts Cactuses store lots of water Most animals blend in with their surroundings It can get up to 20 or 30 degrees in the north or south part Cold water evaporates immediately!! A dry, often sandy region of little rainfall, extreme temperatures, and sparse vegetation Rainfall: a lot of rain Deserts A dry piece of the earth that almost never gets rain
Wetlands Wetlands are really windy!! Wetlands are covered in water for the whole year wetlands serve us our transition zones Wetlands are studied by phiscal science Often, wetlands. land that has a wet and spongy soil, as a marsh, swamp, or bog. wetlands A wet piece of the earth where a lot of animals live in
