3 Actual Registration Mar 17, 18, 19 – Registration info given out in 8 th gr. Science classes Thurs, Mar. 20 – registration sheets given out – 1 to go home for parent signature 6:00 p.m. – Piedmont High, doors open at 5:30 for parent/student info night Signed registration sheets due Tues., Mar. 25; high school counselors/ teachers at middle school for registration.

5 High School Course of Study Future Ready Core Curriculum (ALL students UNLESS specifically told otherwise) (pg. 9 of POS) 4 credits of English- I, II, III, IV 4 credits of Math- Math I, Math II, Math III, math of choice 3 credits of Science- Physical Science or Chemistry or Physics; Biology; Earth Science or AP Environmental Science 4 credits of Social Studies- World History, Civics and Economics, American History I:Founding Principles; American History II or AP US History World Language not required, 2 semesters to meet MAR (min. application requirement) for UNC 1 credit of Health and PE 6 credits of Academic Electives: 2 – any combination of CTE (Career and Technical Education, Arts Education, World Languages 4 - recommended (4 course concentration) from 1 of the following: CTE; JROTC; Arts Ed. (e.g. dance, music, theater arts, visual arts) other acad. subject area (e.g. Mathematics, Science, Social Studies or English.)

6 Graduation Requirements Minimum of 28 units of credit Pass 3 EOC Tests with a Level III or IV Math I Biology English II Successful completion of CPR

7 High School Schedule Students take 8 classes a year Semester 1= 4 classes Semester 2= 4 classes

9 Attendance Policy Credit will not be granted for classes when student absences exceed 7 days for a semester course.
