5 Alcatel e-Business Networking — 5 Numbering Plan Description Characteristics There is a maximum of 50,000 entries Each number can consist of up to 8 digits Available digits are 0 thru 9, *, #, A, B, C, D Prefixes or directory numbers can be used with a time out (T) The numbering plan can be extended by adding a T at the end of the prefix: Example 1 : –9T: ARS prefix –9123: A user’s directory number

12 Alcatel e-Business Networking — 12 OXE LDAP integration Services Search scheme Normal Mode Automatic overflow: In case of unsuccessful search in the OXE phonebook, a search is automatically launched in the external LDAP server. Manual overflow: In case of successful search (at least one answer) in the OXE phonebook, the user can, by pressing a "softkey", overflow on the LDAP server Multi-company (multi-tenant) mode (In R5.1) The LDAP directory managed in the corresponding entity will be used Several types of phone numbers can be given for one name with the following priority order Internal phone number, external number, mobile number Only the first answer is given in case of multi value attributes

14 Alcatel e-Business Networking — 14 Call by Name Description Call by name on OmniVista LDAP The OmniVista 4760 LDAP Directory Any user can call by name by consulting the Web directory access from OmniVista, either for Internal or external numbers. Any user can access the Web directory and register any Reflexes 4020/4035 (digital or IP) set to make calls. This feature uses STAP (Simple Telephony Application Protocol) to place calls after the phone is registered. The STAP parameter has to be “authorized” in the related set user profile.

The search is performed after two characters are entered, and beginning with the OmniPCX phonebook and personal/groupware phonebook if any. By adding a third character, the search is extended to any additional external LDAP directory (Netscape, Lotus, Exchange. The LDAP directories can be added at the 4980 server level (therefore no programming required at the user client) or can be added by each user.

The search is performed after two characters are entered, and beginning with the OmniPCX phonebook. By adding a third character, the search is extended to any additional external LDAP directory (Netscape, Lotus, Exchange. The LDAP directories are added in each 4059 MAC application. Note: The LDAP integration in OXE for the LDAP overflow on the Reflexes phones, is independent of the LDAP dialing from 4980 Softphone and 4059 MAC.
