7 7 INSTITUTES (ENSTİTÜLER) Institutes are responsible for graduate education (lisansüstü eğitim): masters level(yüksek lisans) and doctoral (PhD) level There were 5 institutes at 7tepe until (now 6)  Some of the institutes : Institute of Science and Engineering (Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü), Institute of Social Sciences (Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü), Institute of Health Sciences (Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü), etc. ME 101, Mehmet A. 11 CONDUCT OF THE COURSE There will be one hour of lecture and two hours of laboratory (“lab”) work every week. The lectures are common to all four sections. The labs will be conducted by four different professors in computer labs. 11 ME 101, Mehmet A. Akgun, Fall 2014

12 CONDUCT OF THE COURSE Rule: at least 80 % attendance is required.  Don’t miss more than 20 %. You cannot miss more than two lab sessions. Miss more than 20 % total or more than 2 labs      you get FA, you cannot take the final exam, you have no right to the makeup exam (bütünleme)    You fail the course 12 ME 101, Mehmet A. 15 IN-CLASS BEHAVIOR IN ME DEPARTMENT No cell phone use. Make sure your phone is turned off, or in silent mode. No exchange of pencils, erasers, calculators,etc. in exams. Bring your own!
