2 We chose to focus two aspects The first is the relationship between “hunger” and “table manners or formality”. The second is “novelty and originality in cookery and eating habits” compared to “tradition”. *************************** This school year ( 2008-2009) we’ve developed the first aspect (Hunger versus Etiquette) While next year (2009-2010) we’ll work on the second (Fast Food versus Slow Food)

3 The films dealing whit food are a lot and to carry out our task we’ve selected a few. and to carry out our task we’ve selected a few.

5 These are the main steps of our work 1.Viewing the film and selection of the most relevant scenes 2.Analysis and discussion 3.Filling in a personal card 4.Filling in a class card 5.Translation of the card in English and French 6.Realisation of a DVD with the main sequences of the analysed films. Every card includes the title of the film, the director’s name, the place and year of production, a synopsis and an analysis of the main sequences about food.

7 This work is addressed to the students of our school and to our European partners, in order to teach them neither to disregard nor to throw away the food we don ’ t like; in the world there are million people who die of hunger and who would like to be in our position.
