1. No Internet, no problem With a little planning its easily possible to embed ICT into your lessons even when the internet is not available.

2. Be Safe Always download from official sites, never use third party downloads sites, this minimises the risk of virus’s or third party software you do not require. Internet explorer is not the only web browser! The method we use is safe and will not put you at risk

3. Software and links Firefox browser – always download from www.mozilla.org www.mozilla.org Once you have installed firefox you will need the download helper plugin. Use google to search for firefox download helper and obtain from mozzila.org, do not use any other site! 4. Next steps Once you have firefox and download helper installed you will have a new button on your browser window it appears in the top right hand corner and look like this :- Note there is the icon and a drop arrow, the icon displays sites the add-on is known to work with the drop arrow is the tool used to download. 5. How It works Download manager detects any embedded videos on the current webpage, when you click the drop arrow on youtube you will see multiple videos. They are all the same video just different sizes for different devices, just select the one you want!

6. Save it Once you have clicked the video size you want – some are optimized for ipads, some for mobiles, or you could just download the highest quality. This only really affects the file size and resolution. Save it where you can find it! Either use the default file name – usually the video name from the page or give it a meaningful name yourself. Then you are ready to transfer it to your device or use it offline on your laptop.
