EXAMINE OURSELVES I CORINTHIANS 11:28-29 BUT LET A MAN EXAMINE HIMSELF AND SO LET HIM EAT OF THE BREAD AND DRINK OF THE CUP FOR HE WHO EATS AND DRINKS IN AN UNWORTHY MANNER EATS AND DRINKS JUDGEMENT TO HIMSELF, NOT DISCERNING THE LORD’S BODY.
EXAMINE OURSELVES “ TIME OF SELF EXAMINATION AND CONFESSION”
OUR PRAYER Father, forgive and cleanse me of my sins. Sins of action, neglect, rebellion and stealing your glory. In the name of Jesus who died for my sins. AMEN
LUKE 22: 15-16 THEN HE SAID TO THEM, “ WITH FERVENT DESIRE I HAVE DESIRED TO EAT THIS PASSOVER WITH YOU BEFORE I SUFFER; “ FOR I SAY TO YOU, I WILL NO LONGER EAT OF IT UNTIL IT IS FULFILLED IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD.”
LUKE 22:19 BREAD AND HE TOOK THE BREAD, GAVE THANKS AND BROKE IT, AND GAVE IT TO THEM, SAYING, “THIS IS MY BODY WHICH IS GIVEN FOR YOU; DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME.”
PERSONAL PRAYER TIME THINK OF JESUS GIVING HIS PERFECT BODY FOR US.
SERVING OF BREAD REMAIN IN A SPIRIT OF PRAYER AND REVERENCE WHILE THE BREAD IS BEING SERVED (all will eat together).
LUKE 22:17-18 CUP THEN HE TOOK THE CUP AND GAVE THANKS, AND SAID, “TAKE THIS AND DIVIDE AMONG YOURSELVES; “FOR I SAY TO YOU, I WILL NOT DRINK OF THE FRUIT OF THE VINE UNTIL THE KINGDOM OF GOD COMES.”
PERSONAL PRAYER TIME THINK OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS THAT CLEANSES US FROM SIN.
SERVING OF CUP REMAIN IN A SPIRIT OF PRAYER AND REVERENCE, WHILE THE CUP IS BEING SERVED.
I CORINTHIANS 11:26 FOR AS OFTEN AS YOU EAT THIS BREAD AND DRINK THIS CUP, YOU PROCLAIM THE LORD’S DEATH TILL HE COMES.
Everyone join together and sing a verse of Silent Night.
Silent night, holy night All is calm, all is bright Round yon Virgin Mother and Child Holy Infant so tender and mild Sleep in heavenly peace Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night Son of God, love's pure light Radiant beams from Thy holy face With the dawn of redeeming grace Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.
Away in a manger, No crib for a bed The little Lord Jesus Lay down His sweet head. The stars in the sky Looked down where He lay The little Lord Jesus Asleep on the hay.
Joy to the World, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room, And Heaven and nature sing, And Heaven and nature sing, And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.
He rules the world with truth and grace, And makes the nations prove The glories of His righteousness, And wonders of His love, And wonders of His love, And wonders, and wonders, of His love.
Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, Born this happy morning, Jesus! To Thee be all glory given. Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing; O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
There is a fountain filled with blood, Drawn from Immanuel’s veins, And sinners plunged beneath that flood Lose all their guilty stains. Lose all their guilty stains. Lose all their guilty stains. And sinners plunged beneath that flood, Lose all their guilty stains.
The dying thief rejoiced to see That fountain in his day. And there may I, though vile as he, Wash all my sins away. Wash all my sins away. Wash all my sins away. And there may I, though vile as he, Wash all my sins away.
MATTHEW 26:30 AND WHEN THEY HAD SUNG A HYMN THEY WENT OUT.
CONCLUSION LEAVE IN REVERENCE. WAIT TO SPEAK UNTIL ALL HAVE LEFT THE SANCTUARY.
