10. And as we think about ourselves – let us say…
Almighty God,
to whom all hearts be open,
all desires known,
and from whom no secrets are hidden:

11. cleanse the thoughts of our hearts
by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit,

12. that we may perfectly love you,
and worthily magnify your holy name;
through Christ our Lord. Amen.

13. Christ our Passover lamb has been sacrificed for us, let us therefore rejoice by putting away all malice and evil and confessing our sins with a sincere and true heart.

14. Like Mary at the empty tomb, we fail the grasp the wonder of your presence
Lord have mercy

15. Like the disciples behind locked doors, we are afraid to be seen as your followers
Christ have mercy

16. Like Thomas in the upper room, we are slow to believe
Lord have mercy

17. May the Father of all mercies cleanse you from your sins and restore you in His image, to the praise and glory of His name,

23. Let us in our love for one another affirm our faith in Jesus Christ:

Do you believe and trust in God the Father, who made all things? I believe and trust in Him.

24. Do you believe and trust in His Son Jesus Christ, who redeemed the world? I believe and trust in Him.

25. Do you believe and trust in His Holy Spirit, who gives life to the people of God? I believe and trust in Him.

26. This is the faith of the Church
This is the faith of the Church. This is our faith; I believe and trust in one God; Father Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

27. Peace to you from God our heavenly Father.
Peace from his Son Jesus Christ, who is our peace.
Peace from the Holy Spirit, the life giver.

Holy Communion

31. The Lord is here. His Spirit is with us. Lift up your hearts.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.

32. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give thanks and praise.

33. It is right to praise you, Father, Lord of all creation;
in your love you made us for yourself.

34. When we turned away
you did not reject us,
but came to meet us in your Son.
You embraced us as your children and welcomed us to sit and eat with you.

35. In Christ you shared our life, that we might live in him, and he in us.
He opened his arms of love upon the cross and made for all the perfect sacrifice for sin.

36. On the night he was betrayed,
at supper with his friends
he took bread, and gave you thanks;
he broke it and gave it to them, saying: Take, eat;
this is my body which is given for you;
do this in remembrance of me.

37. At the end of supper, taking the cup of wine, he gave you thanks, and said:

38. Drink this, all of you;
for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you for the forgiveness of sins;
do this in remembrance of me.

39. As we proclaim his death and celebrate his rising in glory,
send your Holy Spirit that this bread and this wine, may be to us the body and blood of your dear Son.

40. As we eat and drink these holy gifts make us one in Christ, our risen Lord.

41. With your whole Church throughout the world,
we offer you this sacrifice of praise,
and lift our voice, to join the eternal song of heaven:

42. Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.

43. Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord –

44. Great is the mystery of faith

45. We pray for the coming of God’s Kingdom as Jesus taught us.

46. Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.

47. Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen.

48. We break this bread
to share in the body of Christ .
Though we are many, we are one body, because we all share in one bread.

49. Draw near with faith.
Receive the body of our
Lord Jesus Christ which he gave for you, and his blood which he shed for you.

50. Eat and drink in remembrance that he died for you, and feed on him in your hearts,
by faith with thanksgiving.

51. Therefore let us keep the feast
Alleluia, Christ our Passover lamb is sacrificed for us
Therefore let us keep the feast

the Lord’s supper

53. Prayer after communion
Almighty God,
we thank you for feeding us with the body and blood of your Son Jesus Christ.

54. Through him we offer you our souls and bodies to be a living sacrifice.
Send us out in the power of your Spirit to live and work to your praise and glory. Amen.

The peace of God which passes all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord;

57. and the blessing of God almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,
