3 What is a Campfire? Council fire for cooking and warmth. Program of songs, skits, stunts, prayers Like a fire builds slowly at lighting To a peak in the middle Subsides gradually to the closing as the fire dies to embers

4 Campfire Etiquette Before the campfire discuss etiquette. Circle is sacred and quiet before and after the fire. Prohibit flashlights. The ‘Keeper of the Flame’ shall make sure there is sufficient wood added to the fire for light. No talking rule. Applaud in the form of yells. No clapping. Keep to the proceedings tightly. Quietly leave the campfire at the end.

5 What makes a great Campfire? Planning Opening: parading to the formal circle. Introductions. Lighting the fire. Short upbeat verse or song to set the mood. Everyone participates singing songs and performing skits and yelling yells. As the dying embers are just a glow the campfire ends with a final prayer.

Every one stomps around as if stomping grapes, then reach down with one hand dipping with a glass and drinking it, saying: AAAAAhhhhh. Boos! 1. Chinese Bow: Stand, fold your arms, bow from the waist and say: Ah Phooey 2. Foil Dinner: RAW, RAW, RAW! Encores 1. Fireman Yell: Water, Water, Water! More, More, More! 2. Trumpet: da-da-da-da-dada-da-da-CHARGE!
