You can walk around the work area and find where is the potential for exposure to substance that might be hazardous to health for example processing the emit dusts fume, vapour, mist or gas and also skin contact with liquids, pastes and dusts.
You can get data sheets and read them and get information from it to help you and also some substances arise from processes and have no safety data sheet for example fumes from welding and soldering, mist from metalworking, dust
