2. Šilutė
Šilutė region is located in the western part of Lithuania. Klaipėda is the nearest big city to Šilutė. The are more than 150 listed objects of cultural heritage in the region.

3. Streets of Šilutė
In 1910 Šilutė was granted the town rights when three vilages - Verdainė, Žibai, and Šilokarčema - were joined together.

There are many old buildings that have survived from old times in Šilutė. The old fire station was built in 1911.

A ford of the Šyša river was a suitable place for hey trading. A famous fish market was present in Šilutė almost for five hundred years.
