North Sea projects) towards a benchmarking report Dry port seminar (Falköping, 14-15 April 2010), attended by container transport industry and port operators, to discuss implementation approach to dry ports in the project partner areas Start-up of dry port case studies (Lahti Region, Hamburg area, Västerbotten, Warmia-Mazury)

10 Towards an integrated transport system in the Baltic Sea Region Task 5.3 – Deployment of ICT toolbox Strict cooperation established with Task 5.5 (back-to-back meetings) Gathering of market data relating to transport services in selected corridors (Poland-Scandinavia and Poland-port of Hamburg Evaluation of existing ICT tools for delivery planning to recommend future possible improvements Analysis of freight decisions criteria taken into account by the stakeholders in their modal choices Analysis of possible Key Performance Indicators recommended for intermodal chains in progress

11 Towards an integrated transport system in the Baltic Sea Region Task 5.4 – Competence Management System in harbour logistics Arranged workshop to discuss transfer, utilisation and adjustment of CMS between Hamburg and Estonian ports (28-29 January 2010, Tallinn) MACO presentation on competence profiles during EU Maritime Day in Tallinn on 20 May 2010 Second workshop scheduled for 21 May 2010 Web-based standardised platform for harbour logistics training soon to be tested by stakeholders Kick-off meeting planned in period 2
