8 Transport Statistics in the Baltic Sea Ports SPC Finland The total amount of cargo handled in the ports surrounding the Baltic Sea was million tonnes in 2009; 9.9 % less than in Between 2008 and 2009, international exports decreased 3.8 % and imports 17.5 % in the Baltic Sea.
