- Tripler is the only Military Medical Center in the entire Pacific Basin - Exposure to diseases and illnesses endemic to the tropics (leptospirosis) - Access to prestigious Tertiary Care subspecialists

- Most Tripler FM Residents have the unique opportunity to go on humanitarian missions (2-3 weeks in duration) - Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia (a sampling of missions by FM residents!)

Clinic rotations-3, ER-1, Ward-9 Electives-0 1/2 day Family Medicine clinic/wk Lectures-3-5 per week Simulation Training 3-4 hours per quarter 2nd Year Clinics-6, Ward-6, Elective 1 2-3 half days Family Medicine clinic/wk Lectures-3-4 per week

Clinics-5, Ward-4, ER-1, Electives-2 (one of which is typically a humanitarian mission), 1 military rotation (experience military medicine at Schofield) 3-4 half days Family Medicine clinic/wk Lectures-3-4 per week Simulation Training 3-4 hours per quarter
