2. Decision SC-2012/10-07 The SC approves the proposal for TSG restructuring, as presented in SC-20121021-012. This restructure shall be implemented as of 1 January 2013. – There are now 2 TSGs – TSG-AC and TSG-SX – The PMT has moved under the SC – The Vision Ad Hoc has moved under the SC Action SC-2012/10-05 The merged TSGs shall provide a Scope for approval by the SC no later than the March 2013 SC/OP meetings in Busan, S. 3. TSG-SX Working Group Structure TSG-SX WG1 WG2 WG3 WG4 NRA - 3GPP2 Requirements, Architecture, Numbering and TSG-SX PMT. The merging of TSG-X WG1 (ERA), TSG-S WG1 (Requirements) and TSG-S WG2 (Network Reference Architecture & Network Management) functionality. Security – 3GPP2 Security aspects. Maps to TSG-S WG4 (Security) functionality Multimedia (MM)– Above IP layer (Service Application layer, ANSI- 41, 1xRTT Core Network functionality, IMS-Based Femto). Maps to TSG-X WG2 (CSN) and TSG-X WG3 (MMD) functionality Packet Data Service (PDS) - IP layer functionality, IP layer services. 4. TSG-SX WG1 – Will develop Stage 1 documents and SRDs for joint TSG-AC and TSG-SX projects (e.g., 3GPP2 M2M) – Will develop architecture documents for joint TSG-AC and TSG-SX projects (e.g., 3GPP2 NAM) TSG-SX Working Group Structure 3GPP2 Restructure Proposal Version 1

5. SC Additions SC PMT Vision PMT – (Formerly TSG-S WG3 PMT) reports to the SC and will be responsible for new Work Items and future SC document development (e.g., SC.R1001 through SC.R1005) Vision – (Formerly TSG-S Vision Adhoc) reports to the SC and will continue to develop Vision documents (e.g., SC.R500x) 3GPP2 Restructure Proposal Version 1

6. Assuming, current TSG-SX chair nominee is elected WG1 and WG4 chairs of TSG-S will continue as TSG- SX chairs for at least until the Busan mtg WG2 and WG3 chairs of TSG-X will continue as TSG- SX chairs for at least until the Busan mtg Eileen Doohan will be handling secretary functions for TSG-SX Interim Leadership/Support

7. Existing documents will maintain the A.x, C.x, S.x, and X.x nomenclature New documents will also use the A.x, C.x, S.x, and X.x nomenclature Note: This requires a slight modification to SC.R1002 Document Numbering

8. Contributions will be labeled SXaa-2013xxyy-zzz – aa, xx, yy, zzz are the same as previously Open contributions carried over from TSG-S and TSG- X should be renumbered with Jan 1, 2013 date: – SXxx-20130101-aaa – Eileen Doohan will work to capture those at plenary level from TSG-S and TSG-X – Avoids dealing with two types of contribution numbers and allows closing of previous contribution logs and creation of new ones Contribution Numbering 3GPP2 Restructure Proposal Version 1

9. Jeff West will: – Set up a TSG-SX exploder (reflector) tsgsx@3gpp2.org Everyone on the TSG-S and TSG-X exploders will automatically be subscribed – Rename TSG-S WG4 exploder to TSG-SX WG4 – Rename TSG-X WG2 and WG3 exploders to TSG-SX WG2 and WG3 exploders – Set up a TSG-SX WG1 exploder and subscribe everyone on the TSG-S and TSG-X WG1 exploders and the TSG-S WG2 exploder May need to add people to exploders Old exploders will be reviewed to see if they are useful Reflectors

10. 3GPP2 FTP sites – Jeff West will create new TSG-SX directories on the FTP site – Existing directories will not change Renumbered carried over contributions should be copied into new TSG-SX directories New sign-in pages will be created for TSG-SX and the new WGs FTP/Web Sites

11. TSG-SX WGs can schedule their own calls as needed (with appropriate 7 day notification) Incoming V&V comments and correspondence may be advance remanded to appropriate WG; will be brought into the next plenary for official handling Electronic approval (TSG Voting by Correspondence) takes 14 days – Can be used for items that are not likely controversial Plenary calls (electronic meetings) can be scheduled (with appropriate 14 day notification) Conference Calls & Interim Plenaries

12. The union of the TSG-S and TSG-X quorum lists will be carried into TSG-SX If voting rights in either TSG-S or TSG-X, then there will be voting rights in TSG-SX Quorum/Voting Lists
