11 Student Engagement Active & Collaborative Learning This is a technical college where a student is supposed to receive textbook learning with hands on instructions. BUT its not always what happens in most classrooms. A lot of the instructors tell the students here is the material and the assignment is due on this date- Good Luck!

12 Student Engagement Student Effort When employers were questioned about the important things they looked for in employees their #1 response was that they show up for work every day. Same thing is true for college. Regular attendance is one of top things for a successful completion of college.

13 Student Engagement Academic Challenge I just graduated high school back in May and didn't know what to expect from college. Everyone told me that it was a lot different than high school and I see what they mean. I actually like it better than high school.

14 Student Engagement Student-Faculty Interaction I feel like faculty need to just be vocal in their assignments and expectations. I feel many instructors are purposely vague in order to thin out those who dont listen quite as well.

15 Student Engagement Support for Learners I do think instructors and advisors play a huge role in the success of the student. I think most of the time a new student will need reassurance. They may feel intimidated by advisors to discuss goals.

Persistence Measure: Successful course completion rates (e.g., C or better) for ENG 100 will increase from an average 60% to 64% without lowering standards.

21 Measures Student Services Examples 90% of students who receive probation counseling will avoid suspension Students will report 90% satisfaction with Financial Aid counseling

22 Measures Administrative/Support Service Examples HR will fill 95% of all vacancies within two months with qualified personnel. IR will return instructor/course evaluation results to divisions within four weeks of the start of the next semester.
