How to be an effective online instructor: PREPARE The same way as if you were instructing in a classroom setting! Be the expert. Know the content. Practice your delivery Review your timing for various sections including the slides, polls, and questions Have materials/notes ready and log in 20 minutes prior to training AVOID: Reading straight from notes.
How to be an effective online instructor: VOICE/SETTING Smile! To project positive energy Ensure you are in a quiet place with no interruptions Speak clearly and loud enough to be heard Use examples & stories to illustrate points Avoid: Speaking in a monotone

Control Panel If you lose a window pane, you can get it back by going to View at the top of your screen. Click to add a check mark by the name of the missing window. You can undock any pane from the Control Panel if you want to enlarge it or move it, and can dock it back when done. Tips
Online Training Faculty Timetable 1.Request via email to serve as an instructor 2 months in advance. 2.Applicable materials will be made available to instructors 1 month in advance, which includes the PowerPoint presentation and participant workbook 3.2-3 weeks in advance of the training, faculty and LCI staff will do a faculty prep meeting and practice session online. 4.The day of the online training/webinar faculty are expected to log in to GoToWebinar 20 minutes prior to the start time to prepare & answer any final questions. 5.10 minutes prior to start time staff team is muted and broadcast is started so participants can login.
