1 Become a Yearbook Ambassador Quick Guide and Introduction Coverage ~ Yearbook Ambassador

2 What is a Yearbook Ambassador? A yearbook ambassador is a YB staff member responsible for representing a certain number of students in the school. Each yearbook staff member will be assigned an equal number of students in the school that they will represent. The yearbook ambassador will communicate with each of their assigned students to ensure they are represented in the yearbook a minimum of 3 times. The yearbook ambassador will make sure their assigned students know how/where to purchase a yearbook, share pictures on RePlayIt, and submit senior pictures or buy baby ads, if applicable. Coverage ~ Yearbook Ambassador

3 Ambassador Responsibilities Contact each student to introduce yourself and explain your role as ambassador. Collect information from each student to help increase their yearbook coverage. – Example: Learn which activities they are involved in at school and outside of school to plan where you may include their pics and stories. Track if they purchased a book, personalization, ad, and the number of times they appear in the yearbook. Be someone they can contact with any questions regarding the yearbook. 4 Making the Initial Contact After you are assigned students you must contact them within one week’s time. To do so, create a postcard/letter to introduce yourself to the student. On the next slide, you will find an example of a letter you might give students to explain your role and how you are there to benefit the student. Be creative! Make an Impression!
