6. 2 Peter 1:4 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

7. #Three God has given us His exceedingly (extremely, exceptionally) great (immense, grand, enormous) and precious (valuable, prized, expensive) promises (The Bible), to help us become increasingly like Him. We were also given absolutely terrific promises… (Msg)

8. 2 Peter 1:5-7 5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self- control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

9. #Four Hearing the word will lead to faith, but faith without works is dead. We must be diligent to follow in God’s steps, for Him to work in us and produce the fruit of the Spirit in us. So don't lose a minute in building on what you've been given, complementing your basic faith…(Msg)

10. 2 Peter 1:8 8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

11. #Five It is possible to be unfruitful in our relationship with Christ! We therefore must wake up, get up, and step up to the grace given, so that we may bear fruit that lasts. With these qualities active and growing in your lives, no grass will grow under your feet… (Msg)

14. 2 Peter 1:10-11 10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
