If you need to do the alternate assignment for +8, you must let me know by Read sections 2.7; do #22-23 p. 26. Also, Please create 2 graphs – 1 should be a displacement vs. time graph; 1 should be a velocity vs. time graph. Follow all instructions / skills you learn today. We will be analyzing the graphs next class as an activity.

HW REVIEW Answers ONLY are going up If you did not get the answer, you MUST redo the problem and discover where your error is If you are an EXPERT in the HW, you have the option of helping others become experts, or obtaining work from the Supplemental Materials folder 10 MINUTES – 2 MINUTES PER PROBLEM

3
The first 3 problems are pretty basic, since the objects accelerate from rest… 28.10 km/ h. s 29. 20 m/s 30. 15 m/s The next 2 problems require more thought, since the objects DO NOT accelerate from rest… 43.2.5 m/s. s, OR 2.5 m/s 2 44.Its final speed is 38 m/s Its distance is 136 m CAREFUL!

Think Pair Share - On LOOSE LEAF… Answer the following questions. Be SPECIFIC and COMPLETE! (Silent reflection) 1.In your own words, describe/define slope. 2.In your own words, how can you calculate slope? Trade with a neighbor and peer edit each other’s work in a different color pen/pencil – still silent reflection! Be complete in your comments! Verbalize comments with your neighbor (Share your thoughts) Work with another pair around you to add even more thoughts and details to your definitions. Scribe thoughts on the board

Write this On LOOSE LEAF… Answer the following questions. Be SPECIFIC and COMPLETE! 3. If you calculated the slope of this graph, what PHYSICS quantity would you be calculating? (Your answer is not numeric – it is a key term!)

7
Write this On LOOSE LEAF… In order to be complete, your graph MUST have: A title Both X & Y axes labeled with NUMBER, QUANTITY and UNITS All points connected Velocity vs. Time You will need to do this on your lab!

DISCLAIMER Graphing questions like the ones on the POGIL are FAIR GAME for your test! If you need to add a reminder to your study guide, do so now!

9
Lab The Pre Lab consists of a POGIL reviewing basic Algebra graphing skills necessary to complete this lab. Check in at stop signs When you have successfully completed the POGIL, you will receive your lab procedures; after running the procedures, you will receive a lab ANALYSIS that is due for a GROUP GRADE In order to ensure time efficiency, the lab trials will be run at teacher’s desk. Your group will complete the data analysis at a lab bench. You have the rest of class, & ALL of class on Wednesday to complete this. Lab Analysis Due at the START of class on Friday (test day); if you turn it in sooner, you will have feedback sooner (and more time during next class to prep for the test/ ask ?s) Stopping with 5 minutes left for an exit slip
