2 Main Makhaarij There are 5 main categories of Makhaarij : 1. The oral cavity Al Jawf اﻟﺠَﻮفAl Jawf 2. The throat Al Halq اﻟﺤَﻠﻖAl Halq 3. The tongue Al Lissaan اﻟﻠِّﺴَﺎنAl Lissaan 4. The lips Ash-shafatain اﻟﺸَّﻔَﺘﺎنAsh-shafatain 5. The nasal cavity Al Khayshoom اﻟﺨَﻴﺸُﻮمAl Khayshoom

4 9 th sub – makhraj of the tongue From the the tip of the tongue and the lower incisors Three letter come from that sub – makhraj which are ( ص،س،ز )

7 Examples on letter ( ص ) تَصْلَى نَارًا حَامِيَةٍ - صَبَبْنَا الْمَاءَ صَبَّا – فِى صُدُورِالنَّاسِ – بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلاً – وَاَقِيْمُواالصَّلَوةَ – يَااَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ

8 Examples on letter ( س ) وَأَيَّدْنَهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ – سَأَلَ سَائِلٌ – لاَيَسْخَرْ قَوْمٌ مِنْ قَوْم – سَلْسَبِيلا – سَيَقُولُ السُّفَهَاءُ – من شر الوسواس الخناس - الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِالنَّاسِ – مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ

9 Examples on letter ( ز ) - وَخَلَقْنَاكُم أَزْوَاجًا – إِذَا زُلْزِلَت الأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا – فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا – وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً طَهُوْرًا – أَزْوَاجًا لِتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْـهَا

10 10th sub – makhraj of the tongue From the top part of the tip of the tongue and the bottom edge of the two top incisors Three letter come from that sub – makhraj which are ( ظ،ذ،ث )

13 Examples on letter ( ظ ) مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ – وإذا أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِم قاموا – رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا – مِن ظُهُورِهِم – وإني لَأَظُنُّكَ من الكاذبين – غَلِيظ الْقَلْبِ – وَمَن أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللهِ الْكَذِبَ

14 Examples on letter ( ذ ) وَاذْكُرُوااللهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيرًا – وَلَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُ عَذَابًا شَدِيدً – وَ إِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ – وَيُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشَاءُ – مَن ذَ الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِهِ

15 Examples on letter ( ث ) - وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ – وَبَثَّ فِيْهَا من كل دابة – مَثْـنَى وَثُلاَثَ وَرُبَاع – ثَالِثُ ثَلاَثَةٍ – وَلاَ أَكْثَرَمِن ذَلِكَ وَلاَ أَكْبَرَ اِلاَّ فيِ كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ

16 General exercises NB: this is an ongoing exercise. Please keep practice up to the end of the course. Choose a word from the Quran with one long vowel which has preceded by ( م ) or ( ن ) and read it. (Now ) place you thumb and index on your nasal while you reading the word. (Is there any difference ?)if you feel any or any vibration in your nose while you are pronouncing the long vowel, then you are not pronounce it properly. Choose a word from Quran with one long vowel which has preceded by any other leter e.g. ( ق ) or ( س ) and repeat the action. Notice the difference

17 Excesice no. 2 Choose a small sura from the Quran or a small chapter of a long one and read it. Try to stop on any word that contains a letter you have already learned its Makhraj. Place your finger on the makhraj if possible. Make sure that you pronounce it correctly

18 Excesice no. 3 Keep pronouncing all the letter you have already learned its Makhraj. Make sure that you pronounce it correctly. Try to pick the similar letters like ( ك ) &( ق ), ( ) &( ع ) ( ح ) &( هـ ) Ensure that they are differentiated and pronounced correctly.

What are the three letters come out from the middle of the tongue?
