4 OBJECTIVES Participants will be able to successfully navigate the Interventions Module Participants will be able to create and maintain plans Participants will understand the purpose of the Interventions Module

5 RTII OVERVIEW Proactive Student Support Process for General Education Students  Identify  Address  Monitor  Revisit

6 LEVELS Level 1 – Classroom Instruction (All Students) Level 2 – Additional Intervention (~15% of Students) Level 3 – Intensive Intervention (~5% of Students) Levels 2 and 3 are in conjunction with Level 1 instruction.

7 Math will be added BHS - Will include:  Attendance (Days Absent)  Behavioral/Mental Health / SAP (BHS)  Student Discipline (Suspension) Interventions address Root cause BHS Days Absent Suspension Math Reading RTII CHANGES

8 DATA ANALYSIS Various data points  Anecdotal/Observational notes  Screeners  Grades  Early Warning Indicators (EWI) report

9 GROUP / INDIVIDUAL PLANS Group plans are for Academic plans  Created through the Classroom module Individual plans are for BHS plans  Created through the Interventions module

12 EARLY WARNING INDICATOR (EWI) REPORT Displays all students in class  Aids in monitoring IEP and ELL students Review academic data for signs of distress / acceleration Review behavioral data for signs of distress Identify students for early intervention

13 EARLY WARNING INDICATOR (EWI) REPORT To access EWI report 1.Login to Schoolnet 2.Click on the “Classroom” Module 3.Select a course 4.Click on the tab, “Student Analysis” 5.Click on title, “Early Warning Indicator (EWI) Columns”

14 EARLY WARNING INDICATOR (EWI) REPORT Points to consider:  Student’s starting point  Student’s progress  External factors  Data bias

15 CREATING ACADEMIC PLANS Consult with RtII team Identify root causes with data analysis Identify intervention Assign responsibilities (Deliver/Monitor) Create plan in Schoolnet for level 2 & 3 plans

26 PLAN MAINTENANCE - MONITOR / TASKS EVENTS Delivery Task – Weekly task to be completed when all delivered Monitoring Task – to be completed by interval set by team Can be done as student data becomes available These tasks are completed only by those which have been assigned to

29 PLAN MAINTENANCE - NOTES Notes – Using the notes tab, ensures that notes will be part of the plan printout Note may have attachments All plan member may add notes

30 PLAN MAINTENANCE Editing Plans Once the plan has data associated, do not use edit button This may recreate tasks from the start of the plan Discontinue intervention Reassign intervention with new monitoring or task criteria to avoid task replication

31 PLAN MAINTENANCE Closing Plans – only performed by case manager Discontinue all interventions first Provide reason for discontinuation of plan Select “Close plan” along left navigation Provide reason for closing plan Transfer students will automatically have their plans closed Students transferring in will have Plan in their student profile
