This solution also requires a load balancer appliance. Minimum Requirements –Application Node: (Qty 1) Quad Core 2.0 GHz Processor –Application Node: 8GB RAM –Database Server: (Qty 1) Quad Core 2.0 GHz Processor –Database Server: 8GB RAM –Windows 2008 R2 Standard Edition x64 Recommended Configuration –Application Node: (Qty 2) Quad Core 2.0 GHz Processor or faster –Application Node: 12GB RAM –Database Server: (Qty 2) Quad Core 2.0 GHz Processor or faster –Database Server: 12GB RAM –Windows 2008 R2 Standard Edition x64 (Up 32GB RAM) –Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition x64 (Greater than 32GB RAM)

All rights reserved.5 PowerSchool 7 Hardware Server Array Solution – SSL Accelerator The PowerSchool Server Array must use a SSL Accelerator also referred to as a Hardware Load Balancer. The Load Balancer provides the ability to distribute incoming web requests to the Tomcat application nodes. It also provides the ability to terminate SSL connectivity on the Load Balancer itself. This allows SSL processing to be handled by the Load Balancer’s processor and not the actual PowerSchool server’s processors. Tested Load Balancer Appliances –KEMP Technologies Load Master –F5 BigIP Appliances –Cisco Content Services Switch (CSS) 115xx Appliances Load Balancer Appliances –Support for session persistence –Support for SSL termination (If using SSL)
