The Load Balancer provides the ability to distribute incoming web requests to the Tomcat application nodes. It also provides the ability to terminate SSL connectivity on the Load Balancer itself. This allows SSL processing to be handled by the Load Balancer’s processor and not the actual PowerSchool server’s processors. Tested Load Balancer Appliances –KEMP Technologies Load Master –F5 BigIP Appliances –Cisco Content Services Switch (CSS) 115xx Appliances Load Balancer Appliances –Support for session persistence –Support for SSL termination (If using SSL)
