3 Welcome to Rotterdam A multicultural, dynamic city full of surprises! A beating city heart offering festivals, shopping, cuisine, art, clubbing, music... The undisputed festival and event capital of the Netherlands! Revolutionary mixture of pre-war and modern, courageous architecture Central node in international trade and supply chain management : the “Gateway to Europe” Centrally located, major international airport and fast train to Paris www.rotterdam.info www.rotterdamstudentcity.com

4 “Rotterdam has the feel of a small city combined with the benefits of a large metropolis. Constant events and programmes were put on by the International Office for exchange students, and the university’s different organisations also held functions and parties at local venues. Living and studying in the International House provided me with a quick transition into student life in Holland and allowed me to meet people studying at Erasmus from all over. The city also has a well- designed public transport network, awesome clubs and bars, and lots of other great attractions. I hope that I will be able to return to Rotterdam when I am next in Europe and I will definitely be telling everyone about my experience.“ Garin Fainstein, exchange student from the USC Marshall School of Business Los Angeles, USA Welcome to Rotterdam
