1 Terroir Focused Pinot Noir and Chardonnay
& Super Niagara Assemblage Graham Rennie Proprietor & Vigneron, Rennie Estate Winery (416)

2 Rennie Estate Winery Who We Are Our Mission What Differentiates Us
Micro Vintners who own a 50 acre Grand Cru vineyard on the Beamsville Bench Our Mission To craft small lot, artisanal wine that reflects the best expression of our estate terroir What Differentiates Us Exceptional Geology and Mature Site: Our escarpment vineyard is one of the oldest in Niagara and was replanted in 1999 Unique Terroir: Ancient soils, considerable dolomite limestone deposits, calciferous clay and loam rich soils on a naturally sloped bench. Micro Climate: The site is surrounded by the Niagara Escarpment Shield to the South and Lake Ontario to the North providing constant air flow and protection during the spring and fall. Sustainable viticulture and low yields We hand pick only the best fruit from our 50 acre vineyard to produce 500 cases of small lot artisanal wines. We craft Pinot Noir and Chardonnay to reflect the “typicite” of our appellation and utilise old world appassimento techniques to enhance the finesse, balance and extraction of our Bordeaux varietals

3 Gaia: Super Niagara Merlot
The Signature Wine of Rennie Estate Winery 2010 Rennie Estate Winery – Gaia Cases Produced: 122 Silver Medal at the 2012 InterVin International Wine Awards. Gold Medal at the 2013 All Canadian Wine Championships “This is pretty exciting stuff, an extravagant wine made in the appassimento style that is gaining favour in Niagara. Rennie enlisted the help of the Vineland Research Centre to perfect a method of drying that slowly concentrates the grapes under perfect conditions. The result is this extraordinary wine that has a meaty, hedonistic nose with layers of highly extracted black fruits, spice and Espresso notes that are revealed in layer after layer. It is big, literally big, at 17% alcohol, but is backed up by a wall of fruit, tannins and acidity to bring it somewhat into balance.” - Rick Van Sickle, Wine Writer, Wines of Niagara Retail Price: $55.00 Licensee Price:$46.26

4 G: Super Niagara Assemblage
The Signature Wine of Rennie Estate Winery 2011 Rennie Estate Winery – “G” Cases Produced: 65 (92 points) “To make this complicated wine, Rennie picks his Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc (both 25%) at 21 Brix. The three varieties spend 70 days in custom drying racks (up to 35% loss of juice) to achieve a sweetness level of 29 Brix. The blend spends 18 months in a combination of new and old oak and is finished at 16.5% alcohol. To be perfectly frank, it’s a big, huge wine, and you need to know that right off the bat. It’s dark, almost opaque in the glass and throws off big aromas of crushed black currants, thick blackberry compote, caramel, oak stylings, vanilla toast, forest floor and dried herbs. On the palate, it’s rich and unctuous with an array of highly extracted fruit flavours including currants, plums, cherries, sultana raisins and bolstered by vanilla-nutmeg-cinnamon spices, earth and medicinal herbs. The tannins are evident, but not overly aggressive. In all, it’s a big, powerful wine with the fruit to stand up to 16.5% alcohol and enough acidity to maintain a modicum of freshness. A wine to hold for a few years to come.” - Rick Van Sickle, Wine Writer, Wines of Niagara Retail Price: $55.00 Licensee Price:$46.26

5 SOLD OUT Scarpa:Super Niagara Ripasso-Style Wine
2010 Rennie Estate Winery – Scarpa Cases Produced: 95 Bronze Medal at the 2012 InterVin International Wine Awards “A Ripasso-style Bordeaux blend of cabs sauvignon and franc blended with the skins of appassimento‘d merlot. On the nose, a kind of charcoal/burnt sugar, smoked meat and aged cheese aroma profile (complex, to say the least.) This is a big, beefy wine with all sorts of attitude, peppery flavours and muscular tannins. Could easily handle five years aging or at least two hours of decanting if you want to drink it now.” -Bethany Harpur, Wine Writer, Second Ferment Retail Price: $40.00 Licensee Price: $33.60 SOLD OUT

6 Scarpata: Super Niagara Cabernet Sauvignon
2011 Rennie Estate Winery – Scarpata Cases Produced: 43 (91 points) “This is Rennie’s Ripasso style wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and blended with the skins of the appassimento “G” wine made up of the dried Merlot, Cab Sauv and Cab Franc grapes. The nose is expressive with black currants, cherry kirsch, Christmas pudding, blackberry liqueur and rousing spice notes. This is all about concentrated currants, red fruits, baking spices, gritty tannins and length through the finish.” - Rick Van Sickle, Wine Writer, Wines of Niagara Retail Price: $45.00 Licensee Price: $37.80

7 SOLD OUT Christine Chardonnay Reserve
2010 Rennie Estate Winery – Christine Chardonnay Reserve Cases Produced: 135 Bronze Medal at the 2012 InterVin International Wine Awards Double Gold at the 2013 All Canadian Wine Championships “I was very impressed with the wines but none more so than the 2010 Rennie Wines “Christine Chardonnay” that was produced under your hands-on guidance at Angels Gate. It was truly exceptional and unequivocally ranks among the three best Canadian chardonnays I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.... In a blind tasting, I could easily mistake it for a Chassagne Montrachet from Burgundy – no feint praise! It was truly sensational and will remain, for me, a benchmark of what the varietal is capable of in Canada.” -Ivan Ivankovich, Wine Writer, Western Canada Retail Price:$35.00 Licensee Price:$29.38 SOLD OUT

8 Christine Chardonnay Unfiltered
2011 Rennie Estate Winery – Christine Chardonnay Unfiltered Cases Produced: 43 (91 points) “Made from the best parcels of Chard at Heron Pond and aged for 15 months in French oak, 50% of which is new. It’s made unfiltered. The nose is expressive with tropical fruits, pear, pineapple and lovely integrated oak and vanilla spice. It has gorgeous depth of flavour on the palate with toasted oak, spice, sweet vanilla and perky acidity to lift the flavours through the finish.” - Rick Van Sickle, Wine Writer, Wines of Niagara Retail Price:$35.00 Licensee Price:$29.38

9 Paradox Pinot Noir Reserve
2010 Rennie Estate Winery – Paradox Pinot Noir Reserve Cases Produced: 122 Gold medal at the 2012 InterVin International Wine Awards 2012 SOSA Best Pinot in Ontario Award Double Gold at the 2013 All Canadian Wine Championships “Rennie’s Pinot is classic Beamsville Bench with a nose that shows beetroot, black cherry, cranberries, earth and lavish spice accents. It is a young wine, still evolving, with the toasted cran-cherry and vanilla notes coming together with the core of spice and minerals. Tuck this away for two or three.” - Rick Van Sickle, Wine Writer, Wines of Niagara Retail Price: $40.00 Licensee Price:$33.60

10 Paradox Pinot Noir 2011 Rennie Estate Winery – Paradox Pinot Noir
Cases Produced: 100 (90 points) 2013 SOSA Best Pinot in Ontario Award “The 2011 Pinot shows lovely cherry-raspberry fruit on the nose with cedar, vanilla and light spice in a pretty and perfumed style. It’s medium-bodied on the palate with elegant red fruit, toasted spices, a touch of anise and all delivered on a silky, smooth finish. My kind of Pinot” - Rick Van Sickle, Wine Writer, Wines of Niagara Retail Price: $40.00 Licensee Price:$33.60

11 Heron Pond Benchland Vineyard-Premium Vineyard Site and Ancient Soils
Passing directly through the Beamsville Bench appellation is the Niagara Escarpment, rising to some 335m above sea level. This north-facing cliff formation is the essence of the appellation, providing the slopes and elevations which assist breeze and lake effects to provide benefits to this unique sub-appellation. The constant circulation of off-shore breezes between Lake Ontario and the Niagara Escarpment, profoundly moderates seasonal temperatures across the Bench. In fall, breezes from the summer-warmed Lake waters raise land temperatures and prevent cold air from settling in lower-lying areas, and extend the growing season well into fall. In spring, breezes from the winter-cooled Lake slow down spring warming, holding back the development of fruit buds until the danger of late spring frosts has passed and ensuring an even start to the season. These lake effects create remarkable flavor and aromatics to Bench vineyards. Over the last 200,000 years, the Niagara Peninsula experienced several glacial and interglacial events that eroded and shaped the layers of sedimentary rock and ancient reef structures of the Niagara Escarpment. This extensive glacial history in the region also gave way to complex soil compositions in the area between the Escarpment and Lake Ontario, where thick layers of clay are permeated with limestone, silts and sands.
