2 LU 1 Zhong Fu Central Treasury
6 cun lateral to the anterior midline, level with the 1st ICS. Intersection Point of the LU & SP Meridians Front Mu Point Intersection Point of the LU & SP Meridians   useful for all LU Issues, especially of Excess Type - cough, wheezing, asthma LU disharmonies involving Phlegm/Heat excess arising from the middle warmer - vomiting, difficult ingestion.  

3 LU 2 Yun Men: Cloud Gate 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline, below the clavicle in a depression medial to the coracoid process Similar to LU 1 but used more often as a local shoulder point Cough, asthma, tension in the chest.

4 SP 15 Daheng: Great Horizontal
Location: 4 cun lateral to the center of the umbilicus (CV 8) lateral to rectus abdominus. Intersection point of the SP & Yin Wei Meridians Regulate the Qi of the Intestines constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain and distention.

5 SP 14 Fujie Abdominal Bind
Location: 1.3 cun below SP 15 and 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline on the lateral side of rectus abdominus. Warms the middle warmer and dissipates cold for lower abdominal pain, diarrhea (from cold), abdominal pain, constipation. Resolves counterflow qi - can be used to subdue fright (i.e. panic attacks) from counterflow qi disrupting the heart and/or cough from counterflow qi disrupting the lung.

6 SP 12 Chongmen: Surging Gate
Location: Superior to the lateral end of the inguinal groove lateral to the pulsating external iliac artery (joins femoral artery) level with the symphysis pubis 3.5 cun lateral to CV 2. Used for a variety of urinary disorders (retention, painful) due to it's functions of draining dampness, clearing heat and regulating urination. Abdominal pain, hernia, hemorrhoids by regulating qi and invigorating blood.

7 SP 17 Shidou: Food Hole Location: 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline in the 5th inter-costal space. Promotes smooth spleen qi (digestion), moves water stagnation - fullness of the chest and/or lateral costal region, abdominal distention perhaps with water swelling, belching, vomiting after eating, boborygmus.  

8 SP 18 Tianxi: Celestial Ravine
Location: 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline in the 4th inter-costal space. Descends qi - chest oppression, shortness of breath, cough, hiccup, running piglet disorder. Opens the chest and circulation in the breasts - breast pain, insufficient lactation.

9 Zhourong: All-Round Flourishing SP 20
Location: 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline in the 2nd inter-costal space Aids the descent of lung qi - cough, shortness of breath, chest oppression. Noted for difficulty in ingesting foods.

10 Dabao Great Embracement SP 21
Location: On lateral side of the chest and on the mid-axillary line in the 6th inter-costal space. (or) 6 cun below the axilla midway between the axilla and the free end of the 11th rib on mid axillary. Grand Luo-Connecting Point - connects all Luo channels Mentioned classically that when this point is deficient, all the joints are flaccid, and when excess, pain all over the body. Pain of the thoracic region. Descends lung qi - cough, chest oppression, shortness of breath.  

11 ST 30 - Qi Chong Surging Qi Sea of Water & Grain Point. Intersection Point of the ST & Chongmai Meridians. Upper Sea of Water & Grain Point - excess or deficient conditions of the Stomach - hypogastric pain, bloating, abdominal pain. Regulates the Intestines - borborygmus, hernia - rectal, inguinal. Regulates genitalia - swelling and pain, impotence. Regulates menstruation - irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, uterine bleeding

12 ST 28 - Shui Dao Waterway 2 cun lateral to the AML level with CV 4.
Excess Cold/Damp Issues of the Lower Warmer - retention of urine, inflammations. Gynecological issues of an excess nature - dysmenorrhea, fibroids, cysts. Fertility issues in women, cold in the uterus. Expel either the placenta after birth or a still born child.

13 ST 27 - Da Ju Great Gigantic
Location: 2 cun lateral to the AML level with CV 5 Beneficial for multiple genito-urinary issues in men - impotence (erectile dysfunction), seminal emission, premature ejaculation, difficult urination Irregular menstruation Abdominal pain, bloating, hernia Fear/fright with palpitations, anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, etc.

14 ST 25 - Tian Shu Celestial Pivot
Front Mu Point of the LI. All intestinal issues - constipation, diarrhea, dysentary, distention, pain, masses/accumulations of any type Irregular menstruation, painful menstruation, fibroids/cysts, fertility issues and leukorrhea Connects the Upper and Lower Warmers (pre & post natal Qi).

15 ST 24 - Hua Rou Slippery Flesh Gate
2 cun lateral to the AML level with CV 9. Epigastric pain, vomiting (rebellious qi) Similar effects as ST 23 on phlegm related shen issues - manic depression, anxiety, mania Used with ST 23 for manic depression with stiff/thrusting tongue.

16 ST 23 - Tai Yi Supreme Unity
2 cun lateral to the AML level with CV 10 Abdominal pain, epigastric pain, bloating, poor appetite, diarrhea Shen/Spirit related imbalances related to phlegm - manic depression, irritability, anxiety Used with ST 24 for manic depression with stiff/thrusting tongue R)St 23, proximity to chyle cisterna

17 ST 22 - Guan Men Pass Gate 2 cun lateral to the AML level with CV 11
Abdominal pain, bloating, gurgling in the stomach/intestines (boborygmus) Diarrhea, constipation, poor appetite Edema Useful for bedwetting with HT 7 and UB 40 or LU 1 and HT 7

18 ST 21 - Liang Men Beam Gate 2 cun lateral to the AML level with CV 12
Tonifies Middle Warmer, assists CV 12 Epigastric pain, accumulations of food in the abdomen and/or palpable masses, vomiting Diarrhea, poor appetite, anorexia

19 ST 20 - Cheng Man Assuming Fullness
2 cun lateral to the AML level with CV 13 Abdominal pain, bloating, hiccups, gastric pain, vomiting Anorexia, poor appetite, diarrhea Shortness of breath, wheezing

20 ST 19 - Bu Rong Not Contained
2 cun lateral to the AML level with CV 14 Abdominal pain, bloating, vomiting (rebellious stomach qi) Gastric pain, gall bladder issues Anorexia, poor appetite.

21 ST 15 - Wu Yi Roof 4 cun lateral to the AML in the 2nd ICS Asthma, chest oppression, fullness a/or pain in the chest Breast pain, distention, mastitis, abscess General pain, heaviness and/or itching of the whole body.

22 ST 13 - Qi Hu Qi Door 4 cun lateral to the AML at the lower border of the clavicle.   Asthma, cough, wheezing, chest distention hiccups Local point - rib pain, inability to turn head, neck pain.

23 ST 12 - Que Pen Empty Basin   Location: In the midpoint of the supraclavicular fossa, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline Shoulder pain (esp. that radiates to neck) Neck/throat issues - tightness/pain Cough, counterflow qi, sore, swollen throat (rebellious lung qi) Internal branch of the ST meridian connects here directly from the Stomach, Spleen & Diaphragm Tonify middle warmer

24 ST 11 - Qi She Qi Abode   Location: At the superior border of the clavicle between the sternal and clavicular heads of the sternocleidomastoideus muscle Local point - sore/swollen throat - counterflow qi, cough, hiccups, reflux Neck pain - pain, inability to turn neck Main point to open the circulation of the common carotid artery Useful for conditions such as acid reflux, arteriosclerosis, hypertension, kidney cancer, bladder cancer

25 GB 24 - Ri Yue Sun and Moon Location: Directly below the nipple in the 7th ICS, 4 cun lateral to the AML GB Front Mu Intersection Point of the GB, SP & Yang Wei Meridians LV & GB issues, especially involving heat and stagnation - gallstones, hepatitis, jaundice LV/GB attacking the SP - nausea, vomiting, sour belching, bitter taste, acid reflu GB related emotional imbalances - fearfullness, shyness, indecisiveness, timidity, sighing The Ling Shu indicates GB 24 & UB 19 (GB Back Shu) for frequent indecisiveness.

26 GB 25 - Jing Men Capital Gate
On the lateral side of the abdomen on the lower border of the free end of the 12th rib KD Front Mu Local point for pain in the lumbar a/or lateral costal region especially when presenting with a KD deficiency KD/SP Issues involving dampness - diarrhea (esp. watery/cold), bloating, abdominal distention Diuretic point - urinary retention, difficult urination, edema Kidney stones - assists passage Moxa to nourish Jing

27 GB 26 - Dai Mai Girdling Vessel
Directly below LV 13 at the crossing point of a vertical line through the free end of the 11th rib and a horizontal line through the umbilicus (level with CV 8) on the high point of the iliac crest Intersection Point of the GB & Dai Mai Meridians Actions & Effects: GB 26, GB 27 & GB 28 are all useful points on the Dai Mai meridian which influences the GB, KD, Chong Mai, CV & GV Meridians GB 26 is most useful for women's issues - leukorrhea from any etiology, gynecological disorders, prolapses, infertility Menstrual related pains, cramping, bloating a/or migraines Local point for the lower back and waist.

28 GB 27 - Wu Shu Fifth Pivot On the lateral side of the abdomen, anterior to the ASIS, 3 cun below the level of the umbilicus (lateral to CV 4) Point Associations: Intersection Point of the GB & Dai Mai Meridians useful for male issues - testicular pain a/or retraction, lower abdominal pain, shan disorder.

29 LV 13 - Zhang Men Camphorwood Gate
Spleen Front Mu Point Hui Meeting of the Zang - tonify all Zang (yin) organs. Intersection point of the LV and GB meridians Assist with SP Deficient signs esp. from the LV invading the SP pain and distention of the abdomen, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea (or alternating), bloating, undigested food in the bowels

30 LV 14 - Qi Men Cycle Gate LV Front Mu Point
Intersection point of the LV, SP & Yin Wei Meridians. Strong effect on the middle and upper warmers - subcostal tension, chest/rib pain, LV overacting on the LU (cough, SOB) Effects LV organ, Qi/Blood stagnation - hepatitis, gallstones Emotional imbalances - anger, irritability.

31 KD 11 - Heng Gu Pubic Bone Location: 5 cun below CV 8, .5 cun lateral to CV 2. Intersection Point of the KD & Chong Mai Meridians Actions & Effects: KD 11, KD 12, KD 13, KD 14 & KD 15 all intersect the Chong Mai and are useful as local points for abdominal a/or gynecological issues.

32 KD 16 - Huang Shu Huang Shu .5 cun lateral to CV 8. Intersection Point of the KD & Chong Mai Meridians Cold a/or Dry effecting the lower abdomen a/or intestines - constipation, abdominal pain, 5 Types of Lin Disorders: General term for urinary disorders involving frequency, dribbling, urgency a/or painful issues. Western conditions such as kidney stones are related to this pattern Shan Disorder: TCM term which generally designates hernia disorders, but mentioned in cases of hernia, issues w/external genitalia (swelling, pain), and abdominal pain that presents with stagnation issues (constipation, incomplete a/or difficulty urinating) Right Gb27, effective for ileo-cecal valve issues

37 KD 27 - Shu Fu Shu Mansion In a depression on the lower border of the clavicle, 2 cun lateral to the CV line Front Mu of the back Shu Opens & relaxes the chest - asthma, constricted breathing, cough, chest tightness Tonify KD Deficiency leading to adrenal exhaustion - fatique, lowered immunity Local point for neck a/or jaw issues - pain, tension.

38 PC 1 - Tian Chi - Celestial Pool
1 cun lateral to the nipple in the 4th ICS. Precautions: No Deep Needle. Window of the Sky Point Intersection Point of the PC & GB Channels Window of the Sky Point, fullness of the chest, counterflow qi, headache, axillary sweating, blurred vision Breast disorders, insufficient lactation.

39 CV 2 - Qu Gu Curved Bone Intersection Point of the CV & LV Meridians
Generally useful for Deficiency and Cold-Type Genito-urinary issues - retention of urine, dribbling urine, frequent urination Main point for feminine discharges, "red and white" discharges (leukorrhea) along with other sexual/menstrual issues - dysmenorrhea, irregular cycles Male sexual issues such as impotence a/or seminal emission as well as any problems with the genitals (dryness, itching, dampness, pain).

40 CV 3 - Zhong Ji Central Pole
Front Mu Point of the Urinary Bladder Intersection Point of the CV, SP, LV and KD Meridians   Generally useful for Excess-Type Genito-urinary disorders Urinary disorders from excess heat, stagnation a/or dampness - cystitis, dark/burning/urgent/frequent urination, retention of urine Main point for damp-heat in the genital area - genital itching w/sensation of heat, rashes, genital herpes, impotence, seminal emission Yin excess accumulations - masses below the umbilicus, cold lower abdomen Moving and cooling point for Gynecological disorders - dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, fibroids, leukorrhea, uterine bleeding, uterine prolapse.

45 CV 8 - Shen Que Spirit Gate
Main point for extreme collapse of Yang especially leading to cold in the intestines - warms the stomach and helps digestive disorders Diarrhea, particularly from internal deficiency Tonify body weakened from chronic illness/exhaustion Revival point from shock (esp. involving cold - hypothermia, frostbite), stroke, epilepsy Deep finger pressure to relieve abdominal pain from gas. Angle toward painful area

46 CV 9 - Shui Fen Water Divide
Main point to move stagnation of water, especially in the middle warmer - edema, urinary issues, poor digestion, borborygmus, GERD, vomiting after eating Useful for tonifying the SP or KD Weight loss prescriptions: move stagnant water Good point for Moxa.

47 CV 10 - Xia Wan Lower Epigastrium
indicated for issues with the lower stomach (stagnation, bloating, distention, weak digestion, diarrhea, undigested food in the stool, vomiting, borborygmus) CV 12 is indicated for issues with the middle stomach CV 13 is indicated for the upper stomach.

48 CV 11 - Jian Li Interior Strengthening

Intersection Point of the CV, SI & ST Meridians useful for upper warmer issues (vomiting, hiatal hernia, hiccups, epigastric pain), Abdominal pain a/or distention Spleen deficiency related heart and emotional issues - insomnia, anxiety, palpitations, heart pain, sensations of heat in the chest and/or body (possibly without sweating).

Location: Level with the 4th ICS, midway between the nipples Front Mu Point for the PC Hui Meeting Point of the Qi Sea of Qi Point Main point for tonification of the upper warmer Tonify and move the Qi of the body Chronic lung issues - cough, asthma, SOB, diaphragmatic pain Breast issues - insufficient lactation, mastitis Chest/Throat issues (rattling in throat w/asthma, difficulty swallowing, palpitations) counterflow Qi problems - guides the Qi downwards

55 CV 21 - Xuan Ji Jade Pivot Local point for chest issues - pain, cough, asthma, wheezing Resolve food stagnation in the stomach (often with ST 36), difficulty ingesting
