Pronouns Test Review Mrs. Stephanie Irizarry
Pronouns and Antecedents Underline each pronoun and its antecedent. The antecedent may not be in the same sentence as the pronoun. 1. Rosa raises pigeons on the roof of the building where she lives. 2. They are specially trained to deliver messages. 3. Rosa rolls up the message that she has written. 4. Then she ties it to the leg of a pigeon. 5. She watches it fly sixty miles an hour to deliver the message safely.
Subject and Object Pronouns: Underline each pronoun and then label them as subject or object pronouns. 1. Today we cleaned the entire house. 2. I dusted the furniture. 3. Kay washed the curtains, and I hung them. 4. I washed the kitchen floor, and she waxed it. 5. Dad took us out for a hearty dinner afterward.
Pronouns: Identify each underlined pronoun as: personal, possessive, demonstrative, indefinite, interrogative, relative, reflexive or intensive. 1. I saw myself in the mirror. 2. Somebody is coming to dinner. 3. That belongs to me. 4. What do you want? 5. The car that we bought doesnt work well. 6. Mary wants us at the conference. 7. The voice is hers. 8. Ill do it myself. 9. The smallest cup is yours. 10. Who is there?
11. She herself washed the clothes. 12. Can you see these? 13. That is a good idea. 14. The boy who is laughing is my friend. 15. Something smells good.
