4. Smit & Grové Attorneys : THE FIRM:- Smit & Grové Attorneys is considered one of the leading Litigation Firms in the Republic of South Africa. The firm consists of three partners being Deon Smit, Pierre Smit & Gerrie Grové and is professionally assisted by Eugenio Menezes. The three partners appear in any Court in the Republic of South Africa, including the High Courts of Gauteng as the partners enjoy the right of appearance in the High Court, thus having the same rights as advocates. The partners have conducted a number of Appeals in the High Court as well as High Court trials and unless the matter requires further expertise, the partners themselves Appear as counsel in all High Court Trials and do not, as far as possible, utilize the service of an Advocate. We submit we service our clients more beneficially and we retain the personal communication between the Attorneys and Client from the inception, namely from the receipt of the instruction until the Appearance in the relevant Court and finalization of the matter. This firm has been practicing predominantly only in the field of Civil Litigation, Insurance Law, Family Law (divorces and maintenance), Labour and Employment Law. We also have a department that specializes in Debt Collecting. It is our opinion that specialty is required in the Legal Field as in any other profession, we have qualified ourselves to be experts in the field of Civil Litigation (High Courts, Magistrate Courts, CCMA, Labour Courts and other Tribunals). If a client requires a firm to deal with the matter outside the boundaries of the Republic and Namibia any Attorney in the Firm will be able to assist the client via Legal Representatives in other Countries. 6. Deon Smit (B Proc) 26 years Deon Smit has been involved with the Insurance Industry since 1979. He started his legal career as an Article Clerk and then was appointed as a Professional Assistant in the employment of Hoffmeyr Van Der Merwe Attorneys. Subsequent to that he was a Professional Assistant with the firm Dyasons. He was elected as the Chairman of the Industrial Council for a number of years and He took over the Chairmanship from Mr. Harry Schwartz, he has been at the Side Bar Practicing as an attorney for 26 [Twenty Six] years. Deon Smit has recently been appointed as a commissioner of the Small Claims Court and presides over hearings regularly. Deon Smit has the right of appearance in the High Court of the Republic of South Africa. Smit & Grové Attorneys

7. Gerrie Grové (B Juris, LLB) 12 years Gerrie Grové, after obtaining his L.L.B. Degree was employed as a Labour Consultant by Anglo American, where after he decided to join the Legal Profession. He then joined the firm of which Deon Smit was a partner as an article clerk and thereafter Professional Assistant. He then became a partner at Smit & Grové and has been practicing as such Since 2001. He has been at the Side Bar for 13 [thirteen] years. 8. Pierre Smit (B Proc) 6 years Pierre Smit while studying for his Legal degree started his Legal training at the Firm Smit & Grové Attorneys. He completed his professional training as an Attorney at Smit & Grové Attorney. Pierre Smit specializes in Insurance law as well as Family law. As is the case with the partners, he too enjoys right of appearance in High Court And conducts his own trials. Smit & Grové Attorneys

9. Professional Assistants Eugenio Menezes started his Legal career as an article clerk in 2006 and has recently been appointed as a professional assistant. 11. It is our opinion that specialty is required when embarking on the daunting task of appointing an attorney to deal with your matters. One cannot always decide on which attorney to appoint but one must consider that due to the nature of the law and the various Legal Fields thereof, like in other profession, it is always more rewarding to appoint an attorney that understands the field of law in which you require assistance. We have qualified ourselves to be experts in the field of Civil Litigation (High Courts, Magistrate Courts, CCMA, Labour Courts and other Tribunals). 12. FEE STRUCTURE Smit & Grové attorneys are completely willing to work at a set fee structure and have in fact done so in the past. We feel that this leads to more certainty as between Attorney and a Client in monitoring whether in certain instances litigation is commercially viable, or not. In this instance the Attorney will deal with the Litigation on behalf of the client. It is our practice not to appoint Advocates for Litigation unless it is unavoidable. FEE & MANDATE AGREEMENT Smit & Grové attorneys also fee in terms of a fee and mandate agreement and this agreement is easily understood after perusal. The agreement sets out the charge for the actual work done and also allows the client to feel at peace of mind knowing that the attorney cannot over reach the client with excessive figures or a global account, instead we invoice the client for the separate services rendered.
