<month year> Project: IEEE P Working Group for Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs) Submission Title: [more channels for 15.3 mmWave PHY] Date Submitted: [18 January 2017] Source: [Benjamin Rolfe] Company [Blind Creek Associates] Address [Los Gatos, CA, USA] Voice:[ ], Re: [Allocation of usable spectrum between 6 4GHz to 71 GHz.] Abstract: [Support material for PAR and CSD of 15.3 amendment to add 2 new channels] Purpose: [send even more gigabits from point A to point B in license exempt spectrum] Notice: This document has been prepared to assist the IEEE P It is offered as a basis for discussion and is not binding on the contributing individual(s) or organization(s). Why, what, when, how FCC Allocated 7 more GHz so 60GHz band goes all the way to 71 GHz Other regions are considering similar extension of the mmWave band 15.3 millimeter wave PHY (15.3c) defines 4 channels New allocation allows total of 6 channels 6 is more than 4 15.3e channel plan includes channelization using the extended band for the new PHY includes channelization to use the extended band Thus this project updates the 15.3 mmWave PHY to current reality
WG Motion: WG approval of PAR and CSD
Request that the PAR and CSD contained in documents [ ] and [ ], respectively, be approved by the IEEE WG and that the EC be requested to forward the PAR to NesCom. The working group chair and technical editor are authorized to make additional modifications to the PAR and CSD as needed to reflect EC discussion at its closing meeting.
