Uniform motion Object goes through equal displacement in equal time intervals.

What happens when our displacement is not equal?

During Lunch, Aran decides to go to Tim Hortons, while Dylan would rather walk to Fairview Mall. At the lights on Sheppard the two part ways. Aran starts walking East and Dylan walks west. After 4 minutes, Aran has travelled 250 m East while Dylan has travelled 375 m West. Graph the position of each student on one graph.

1.) Tony walks steadily from -18 km to 18 km, passing through the origin. a)Draw the position-time graph for the walk. b)Can you draw a position-time graph for the same walk that looks different from the one you drew in part A? (Hint: different speed) 2.) A wildlife biologist measures how long it takes four animals to cover a displacement of 200 m [forward]. a)Graph the data from the table below. b)From your graph, how long does it take the Elk & Grizzly bear to cover 150 m? Timmy and Keswick are out on the ntcs field. Timmy gives Keswick a head start of 5 seconds. Both students move with a constant uniform motion. Assume that the time taken to reach constant uniform motion is negligible. If Keswick travels 100 m [N] in 20.0 s and Timmy travels 112.5 m [N] in 15.0 s, a)Graph the motion of both students on the same graph. b)Find the time & position at which Timmy catches up with Keswick.
