11. The Claim Game One of the easiest ways to win in debate (and in arguments generally) is to point out when someone is B***S****ing. Throughout camp we will be playing the claim game in lab. Everyone starts out with 0 points and points are bad. You do not want points. Each time you make an ARGUMENT (or CLAIM) you have to have a REASON (say WHY) and cite some EVIDENCE. Rules You can call out anyone in lab who you think has made an unwarranted claim: i.e. they say something and do not have a because statement or any evidence. The lab leader will judge whether they get a point. The person with the fewest points on Sunday wins the LAMDL Claim Game Prize.

Make sure you remember what they say accurately so you can use it against them in your next speech. Use all your time because it gives your partner time to prep.
